WELCOME TO OUR SCHOOL
Tararua College is a co-educational rural high school of 380 students aged between 13-18 years. It is situated in Pahiatua (link to https://www.newzealand.com/int/pahiatua/) serves an area from Mt Bruce in the south to Papatawa and Kumeroa Hopelands in the north east.
The College is situated on a tree filled campus with modern specialised facilities.
A wide range of academic and vocational subjects are offered. All senior courses are registered with the New Zealand Qualifications Authority Click for NZQA website. (NZQA). Senior students work towards national qualifications (NCEA) recognised by all New Zealand universities and tertiary institutes. The College also offers tertiary linked courses. For example Hospitality, Retail, Travel and Tourism, Automotive Engineering, Building and Construction and Primary Industries.
All international students are encouraged to participate in the sporting and cultural activities that are offered by the school.
Tararua College endeavours to provide a safe, positive and supportive environment where emphasis is placed on positive relationships. Students are encouraged to take responsibility for their behaviour assisted through restorative practices.
